From One Extreme
. . . To Another
I hope last Tuesday's snow is the last one we'll have until next winter.
The cats weren't too keen about going out, so not much cat-work was done on Tuesday,

However, because Tuesday was Senior Citizen Day at Kroger—and because the snow wasn't sticking to the roads, we decided to chance it and drive the fourteen miles to Rocky Mount. This is how Route 40 looked as we drove home.
Last Wednesday was at least sunny, but the snow still lingered.
By the time we turned into our driveway, our peach tree's blossoms were snow-covered.
And so was the crape myrtle beside the deck.
Last Wednesday was at least sunny, but the snow still lingered.
However, this past Tuesday— April 1—was warm. No fooling! And Wednesday was even warmer—82 degrees! I rode the four-wheeler over the lawn and watched the trees bloom.
The little peach tree at the end of the upper driveway made it through the snow. Even though temps last week had dropped to the 20s, the blooms survived.
My cherry tree was covered in blooms as white as snow.
The corkscrew willow suddenly turned green.
The lawn and the field across the road are both green, too.
And the forsythia is blooming—the bush near the peach tree. . .
. . . and the bushes around the gazebo.
What a difference a week makes! Now it really looks like spring.

Yay! Spring! I'm so glad, it was a terrible winter.
Wow, that is crazy in one week!
