Searching for Spring

Emma, the elderly lady dog who now lives in the garage instead of the kennel, sat in the yard this afternoon and looked for spring. With the temperature hitting 70, Emma was sure that spring was out there somewhere.  But where?

She looked to the southeast but didn't find spring.

She looked to the south. Nope, not there either. Chloe and Jim-Bob came out to help Emma search.

Chloe looked to the north and Jim-Bob looked to the east, but they didn't find it either.

They looked to the north. . .

. . . and west. . .

. . . but they didn't find spring. Was spring hiding under the bush with Dylan?

Was it hiding in the dogwood buds?

Maybe spring fell between the cracks this year. Jim-Bob will search.

Jim-Bob: Nope, not there. Maybe if I sit on a rock and look real hard. . . .

Jim-Bob: Ah, I think I found spring. It's in the forsythia!

Emma: I'm so happy, I could roll for joy!

LOL - looks like a day on our farm. We have five dogs and a cat. We all did pretty much the same thing, laid in the sunshine, cooked burgers on the grill for the first time this year, and felt the first fingers of spring blowing in the trees. It's exciting isn't it?!

I agree with Emma - I could roll with joy on these warm spring days. Looking forward to some more warm days this week.
