Today's e-mail brought this:
Are the scammers getting stupider, or what? Let me count the ways this e-mail is blatantly a scam:
Why not just put "SCAM" in the subject line? It would be better than Re:..?
Are the scammers getting stupider, or what? Let me count the ways this e-mail is blatantly a scam:
- Instead of being sent to me, it's sent to "undisclosed-recipients."
- The subject line (Re:..?) is strange.
- The "reply-to" addy is different from the "from" addy. Granted, some groups will use this type e-mail, but odds are excellent that the recipients of this aren't part of an organized group.
- It wasn't sent from America. I received it today at 10:31 AM; it was sent today at 7:21 PM. Obviously from across the pond.
- The capitalization (Business Proposal) error and omission of an apostrophe (dont) make me think that perhaps English is not the sender's first language.
- If I would "be eligible"? What the heck does that mean? It's a vague as the Business Proposal the sender wants me to pursue.
- There's no signature. If you want someone to join you in a
business ventureBusiness Proposal, you at least put your name at the end of the request. So who's sending this, Young Chang or Young Mevasbnk? Or maybe it's Young Chang Mevasbnk?
Why not just put "SCAM" in the subject line? It would be better than Re:..?
